Peter and Christine Rodgers took on the project in 2007 and are still working on it! Next stage is an extension, for which planning permission was received in 2012.

Gosh, I thought you would be relaxing in your retirement!!! what a lovely blog and so much hard work gone into making it such a beautiful place.
I hope you both and the children had a lovely Christmas and wishing you a happy and peacful New Year.
I am still working at Chigwell School and really enjoying it – don’t miss the commute into the City!!

We are in the early planning / costing stage for the restoration of a C16 Suffolk farmhouse and I came across your site.
What a fantastic project. It looks amazing.
Our local conservation officer was very supportive of most of our plans but I would love to hear your thoughts about the planning process and how to avoid unnecessary delays.
In fact I have a million and one questions but perhaps you would indulge just one or two.
With a young family we don’t have the luxury of time but do have access to some exceptional craftsmen.
